Royale was intended to be a part of the Fall Update, but she was done early so the team decided to release her now. This means more challenges, a new surge gauntlet ability, and new customizations. Players can now enter PVP battles with their friends and/or gamers anywhere straight from the arcade lobby, not just mid-run in game. One of the main features in the summer update is the “repair” to the Battle Mode Machine in Gilly’s Arcade. While the Early Access version of Arcadegeddon was sold at 19.99 on PlayStation 5 and Epic Game Store, this full retail version will be 29.99. This has been a high priority item for the development team and one the community has been vocal about. This will include an appreciation outfit, a five-day minimum XP boost, and a currency boost. Gamers can also now customize their keybinds for their mouse and keyboard. There are two new weapons, The Scotsman and The Party Favor. There are new tiles to each existing biome (map) creating even more options for the game’s procedural generation.
